VKAP ANNUAL PICNIC
Join other Vermont grandparents and other relatives and the children they are raising for a relaxing day at the beach. Build a sand castle, swim in the lake, talk with other kinship caregivers and relax as the children play. Enjoy hot dogs and hamburgers as well as homemade salads, drinks, and desserts.
WHEN: Sunday, August 8 (Raindate: August 15) Beginning at 10:00 a.m., lunch about noon WHERE: Sandbar State Park, Route 2, Milton
Hot dogs, hamburgers, salads, desserts and drinks beginning about noon.
PLEASE BRING A SALAD OR DESSERT TO SHARE!
BRING YOUR CHAIRS, BEACH TOYS, AND SUNSCREEN.
Directions: from Interstate 89 (north or south), take exit 17 and turn right onto Route 2. Sandbar State Park is 5.7 miles on the right. Tell those at the entrance that you are with VKAP or show them your Green Mountain Pass* and you will not be charged to enter the park.
*If you are over 62, see your town clerk for a Green Mountain Pass that entitles you to free entry to state parks, including Sandbar.
