This year’s conference is again being co-hosted by VKAP and New Hampshire RAPP (Relatives As Parents Program) Coalition and will feature Dr. Joseph Crumbley.

HOW YOU CAN HELP:

  • Donate or Sponsor a fundraiser to provide conference scholarships for kinship caregivers. ($25 per scholarship)
  • Solicit donations from businesses for the silent auction 
  • Help set up and monitor the VKAP silent auction and the Hampton Inn in Colchester.
  • Help advertise the conference in all media and in local venues throughout the state.

VKAP NEWSLETTER: VKAP VOICES

HOW YOU CAN HELP:

  • Maintain and update the newsletter mailing list
  • Write a pertinent news article:
    • As a kinship caregiver, share your story (anonymously if preferred); reflect on a particular event or issue or tell a humorous story related to kinship care. Keep it to less than 500 words.
    • As a service provider, write about services in your organization that are available to kinship families.
  • Lay-out the newsletter electronically
  • Photocopy the newsletter
  • Fold, seal, and label the newsletter

VKAP BOARD OF DIRECTORS SUSTAINABILITY COMMITTEE

HOW YOU CAN HELP:

  • Suggest a potential fundraiser and the steps needed to implement it. Participate in the organization and implementation of it.
  • Assist the committee in its fundraising work by helping at VKAP fundraisers.
